Homespun poetry that makes people happy.

About the Poet

This beautiful sunrise photo would please my Dad. He loved to write poetry in the quiet of the morning and walk outside before the sun was fully up. Being a self-taught electrical engineer, he could climb poles to make repairs as well as run a power plant and draw circuits.

Our family photographer Steve Sanders captured the quiet of the morning along a lonely train track as Dad would have enjoyed it.

My Dad’s advice to everyone is a little poem he wrote entitled “Say It Now”:

Tell someone you love them,
Please don’t wait.
Tomorrow or this afternoon
May be too late.
