Green palm fronts and sandy beaches
Golden glow of fun above,
Red poinsettias in each garden,
Faces warm with joy and love.
Christmas carols softly playing,
Kisses beneath mistletoe;
Yuletide in the heart of Dixie –
Who could feel a need for snow?
In each home, the families gather
Round the fragrant Christmas tree,
And with every gift they open
Laughter echoes merrily.
Blest by such a glad reunion,
Christmas spirit, we have found,
Flourishes in any setting
Where true love and faith abound.
